Children By Design
3 years old to 2nd grade
We are excited to welcome your child to our Sunday morning class! Each week, they will embark on an engaging journey through the Bible, exploring its stories and teachings in a way that is tailored to young minds through our carefully designed, topic-based curriculum.
Our community emphasizes the importance of family worship, which is why children join us for the opening part of the Sunday service. After a time of morning worship in the main room, children are joyfully released to their class for a session filled with learning and discovery.
For your convenience, the classroom is located on the south side of the main room. We encourage parents to accompany their children to ensure a smooth transition. Come be a part of this enriching experience where faith, learning, and fun intersect every Sunday!
We invite you to join us! If you have any questions about our Children/Students By Design Ministries Department please call our church office @ 574-522-2114. Ask for Carol or email at [email protected]

3rd grade and up
Purpose Statement:
Students by Design exists to reach young people with the hope of Jesus while creating an environment where they can connect, grow spiritually, and discover their purpose while learning to honor God with their lives. (Ephesians 4:12-13)
An Intergenerational Approach
An intergenerational approach to worship emphasizes the value of bringing adults and students together in the same service, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose within the church community. By engaging both age groups in a shared worship experience, we create an environment where relationships are nurtured, faith is deepened, and mutual growth is encouraged.
This approach invites students to actively participate in the life of the church body, allowing them to witness and learn from the spiritual maturity of adults while also contributing their unique perspectives and energy. Adults, in turn, find inspiration in the enthusiasm and fresh insights of the younger generation. It is a dynamic exchange where teaching, learning, and worship flow freely across generations.
By incorporating intergenerational worship, we also prepare students for leadership within the church, empowering them to serve and lead alongside seasoned members. Whether through shared music, collaborative prayer, or joint ministry projects, this approach builds bridges between age groups, reinforcing the idea that every member of the church body, regardless of age, plays a vital role in advancing the mission of faith and love.
Rooted in the principles of fellowship and discipleship, this method embodies a living expression of community. It is about showing Christ’s love through relationships, teaching one another to follow Him, and discovering God’s purpose together—unified as one body of believers. Through this interwoven journey, the church becomes a vibrant tapestry of worship, wisdom, and shared growth.
